iPod, Fully Loaded!!

If I wasn't already a complete and total geek, this recent purchase of an iPod (30GB, color, stores photos) pushed me over the edge.... I received it yesterday, plugged it in immediately, listened to the 'sample' which was Beethoven's 9th symphony (only a portion) and it never sounded sooo good. I have now configured my PC, downloaded over 500 songs from my hardrive and photos (you all are in my iPod now...) Whoopie!! now starts the chore of creating my very own CD archive on my iPod...

Ooooh, Cory- gettin' down with the technology! Save some room for my leaving DC mix- I think you'll enjoy the songs. Still tweaking the order whilst e-mailing yesterday and running this morning, but will get it off to you once it’s final. That's one of my favorite parts of the ipod/itunes experience- being able to create lots of playlists and easily edit them. Didn't you all make mixed tapes in middle school and then hate certain transitions you had to listen to ad nauseum since, well, what else was there to do when you were twelve? Enjoy your new toy!

Cory is a nerd. I meet her for dinner and drinks on friday and she doesn't say hello but tries to put the headphones on me. She was like a little kid and kept checking that the ipod was still in her bag. She already has 1200 songs on the damn thing as well as more pictures than I have taken in my life. our job now is to give her some good music, not the stuff she thinks is good.

Actually, as I walked into the restaurant, I had just finished texting a response to a question "Why is Cory always late" that was supposed to have gone to Meghan...the iPod only slightly distracted me...it was an ordeal to obtain the thing in the first place (I'll post the whole 'phishing' story some other time). And, yes, I'm like a little kid...excited about my new toy...finding new and interesting things to do with it and staying up way too late rediscovering music I haven't listened to for years.
