132 days ...... get the point yet??

OK so tell me when this gets annoying. I am going to keep us honest by posting EVERY day. No, I have not worked out yet BUT I did make plans to have dinner with Cory and I told her I cannot meet until after I run. Since when do I put off dinner for a run??

On another note, I just signed up for another triathlon in July in Wakegan, Illinois. A sprint tri but looks fun.

I am going to make sure I run 5 days a week, ride 2 days a week and swim two days a week. (well, the swimming will have to wait til I get to st louis...). What are you guys doing??

134 days and counting

There are now 134 days until Eagleman 06. We all talked about all this training we were going to do and as I talk or text to each of you, I realize we have been very very bad.

I am going to start the official workout trash talking. My week of training sucked but today I ran 9.5 miles in the morning on the trails in 1:16 and then did 20 miles on the bike in just over an hour. What did you do today?? Let's start listing some good workouts. We are probably not going to get to do many workouts together but at least we can motivate each other.

Did I mention 134 days???

representin' the mitten

The Michigander contingent of the 5:30 am crew met up this holiday season far from our current abodes in a brew pub about equidistant from our respective hometowns. Good beer was consumed (note the brewing accouterments in the background of the photo) while catching up. And really, you'll have to schedule a time at Tunnicliff's to hear the saga of Chris's latest laundry-related injury. I'm beginning to think we may have to invest in valet service for him if we want him to remain healthy enough to train and race in 2006...

It's New Year's Day and instead of doing laps around Hains Point with you all ad nauseum like last year, I went polar bearing in Lake Washington to ring in the new year. Any triathlon-related resolutions from anyone? While drinking last night I committed to a Half Marathon in Vancouver this May, but that's the extent of my craziness so far in 2006. Wishing you all a very happy new year!
